Important question: WHICH WIG SHOULD I CHOOSE? SYNTHETIC OR MADE OF REAL HAIR?

SYNTHETIC WIGS

In this day and age, synthetic wigs are the most frequently sold type of wig. Due to their lower price, yet shorter lifespan, these wigs are an ideal choice for everyday wear during times of short-term hair loss (around 6-12 months), or for occasional wear over multiple years. Our wigs are made from the highest quality synthetic fibers; they are lightweight, breathable, and visually indistinguishable from real hair. The hairstyle and color are set, upkeep is easy, and the wig returns to the original hairstyle after it has been washed. Synthetic wigs securely attach to the head without the use of adhesive bonding. Most synthetic wigs come in a universal size, and thanks to integrated elastic strips, the cap size can be increased or decreased.

A novelty in recent years are synthetic wigs made from exclusive artificial heat-resistant fibers, in which, just like wigs made from real hair, the hair can be blown and shaped into any hairstyle. The hairstyles created last longer than on wigs made from real hair, and in addition to the optical perfection, this fiber is indistinguishable from real hair, even to the touch. However, the prices of wigs made from these fibers are comparable, sometimes even higher, than the prices of wigs made from processed Asian hair.

HUMAN HAIR WIGS

These wigs are an excellent choice for long-term wearers of wigs with health issues. Not only are they indistinguishable by sight and even touch from real hair, but when properly cared for, they last last longer than synthetic wigs. The advantage of human hair wigs is their extensive variability in terms of cut and style. The hair can be styled in various ways, curled, blown dry, or dyed. It is necessary to style the hair as often as your regular hair, sometimes even daily.

The only real disadvantage of human hair wigs compared to wigs made of synthetic fibers and one’s own real hair is the need for above-standard and diligent care. The hair on these wigs is no longer being naturally nourished, so both intensive and gentle care with the help of special hair products is essential for maintaining the intact condition of human hair wigs.

Our wigs are produced from Asian hair (typically Chinese or Indian), from European hair, or from a combination of all hair types and synthetic fibers. The type of hair used has a considerable influence on the quality and lifespan of the entire wig.

SYNTHETIC WIGS BY WIG CAP

STANDARD WIGS

The standard wigs offered by Hair Union are first-class wigs with hair made of the highest quality synthetic fibers. The inner part of the wig (i.e., wig base) is comprised of individual, machine-attached hair wefts, sometimes in conjuction with fine fabric. Hair wefts are a system that uses elastic strips and bands with sewn-on velcro. The hair is slightly crimped at the attachment point, so that the wig cap is not visible when the hair is parted.

Wigs made of synthetic fibers have a perfect cut that is not influenced by the weather; after washing, these fibers return to their original shape. These wigs are lightweight, require minimal upkeep, and are the most widely-used type of wig.

MONOFILAMENT PARTING WIGS

Hair Union’s monofilament parting wigs are top-quality standard wigs fitted at the hair parting with a monofilament component, which perfectly imitates the scalp. Along the entire hair parting, the hairs have been hand-tied, so that even at a close distance the parting looks like a real scalp with natural hair growth.

A monofilament parting wig is a budget-friendly version of a monofilament wig.
The only real limitation of this wig type is the set location of the part.

MONOFILAMENT AND HAND-TIED WIGS

Just like our standard wigs, Hair Union’s monofilament and hand-tied wigs are luxurious wigs made of the highest-quality synthetic fibers. Unlike standard wigs, the inner part of the wig (the wig cap) comprises a system of hair wefts at the upper-front part of the head and has monofilament, which is a material that perfectly imitates the look of the scalp. The hair on these wigs has been hand-tied in a way that imitates the scalp and natural hair growth whenever the hair has been parted along the monofilament section. Even upon closer examination, one cannot tell it is a wig. Some wigs have hand-tied hair attached to fine tulle on the entire head, while others have monofilament on the upper-front part of the wig.

Monofilament and silk tulle wigs are significantly lighter and more breathable than standard weft wigs. And just like standard wigs, the style of the wig will not change with the weather.

HUMAN HAIR WIGS BY HAIR TYPE

WIGS WITH ASIAN HAIR (chemically treated)

are the most common type of hair wig. The hair is thinned to resemble fine European hair. Its protective outer layer, the “cuticle”, is completely or almost completely removed through a chemical process.

In order for wigs with chemically treated hair to maintain a healthy and natural appearance, it is necessary to give them special care using special cosmetic products.

These wigs are justly the most sought-after human hair wigs. The price of these wigs is not dramatically higher than average wigs with Asian hair, but thanks to a less intensive chemical treating process, the difference in quality and lifespan is considerable. Nevertheless, even these wigs require regular and intensive care with special hair products.

LACE-FRONT WIGS

The latest development in wig manufacturing technology is the use of a so-called “lace-front” or alternatively simply a “lace” or tulle stocking, which can be wide or narrow strip of special fine tulle (lace) sewn onto the front part of the wig.

This strip of tulle perfectly replicates natural hair growth and also allows for hair to be brushed back or to the sides. Synthetic and human hair wigs can both be outfitted with a lace-front.

oppers join=integrate seamlessly with your own hair and visually create a unified whole. They are a great solution for fine, thinning, or completely missing hair on the top of the head. The hairpieces and toppers that we offer are produced from first-class synthetic fibers or real hair.

In addition to hairpieces, toppers are an optimal solution for hair that is thinning in the front and/or upper parts of the head. In contrast to wigs, they are lightweight, more breathable, and provide maximum comfort during wear. They are attached with either adhesive to the head’s bald spots or with the help of little flexible barettes or various pins and clips.

SPECIAL HAIR PRODUCTS are a necessary part of caring for wigs, toppers, toupees, and hair replacement systems. Our hair products are produced in a way that provides any given type of hair (whether synthetic or real human hair) the protection and care that it needs.

At the same time, accessories like stands or polystyrene heads, special combs, delicate wig caps, and others play a significant role in enabling maximum comfort and maintaining the wig in perfect condition.

HEALTH INSURANCE VOUCHERS AND OTHER DISCOUNTS

VOUCHERS AND DISCOUNTS

The GOVERMENTAL 1,000 CZK CONTRIBUTION that previously existed towards purchasing one wig a year was canceled on 31 July 2019. Health insurance vouchers which were issued before this date for the purchase of a wig are no longer valid and cannot be used towards purchases. However, some health insurance companies provide a contribution within the scope of their preventive programs for the purchase of a wig.

We are also trying to mitigate the fallout from the government’s and Ministry of Health’s decision by offering various discounts and promotions.

Additionally, we very much value our long-term customers and therefore provide a 5-10% discount for the repeated purchase of our products and services with our customer loyalty card.

PRICES FOR INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTS

OUR STORES AND PRICES

HAIR UNION owns several physical stores; we do not have an e-shop. This is why we do not list the price of every single wig on our website. We prefer and recommend that you visit one of our stores to pick out a wig in person, taking advantage of the assistance and advice provided by our staff. In person you can try on our products at your leisure and choose the most suitable model and color from our extensive selection. Upon request we will gladly send our products by mail, to be paid for with cash on delivery.

PRICES OF CLASSIC SYNTHETIC FIBER WIGS range from 4,380 CZK to 6,900 CZK. You can buy significantly lighter monofilament and completely hand-tied wigs from 8,400 CZK to almost 13,000 CZK for the most luxurious models. An economical option is models with a monofilament parting from 7,900 CZK. For HAIR WIGS, the biggest price difference is based on the quality of the hair. We offer our own wigs from 20,000 CZK, as well as imported models made from Asian hair. Luxury handmade wigs made from European hair with fully preserved cuticles range in price up to 80,000 CZK.

We constantly work with various types of discounts and promotions and therefore always have wigs on offer at prices starting from CZK 1,900.

Upon request, we can share with you the price of individual wigs by email or by phone. It goes without saying that in our stores you can always try on wigs for free in the company of our qualified and considerate staff.

MEN’S HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEMS AND TOUPEES

At our stores, high-quality hair replacement systems with long-lasting bonding cost anywhere between 18,000 CZK and 24,000 CZK. The price depends on the type of hair used as well as the type of wig cap the hair is attached to. A crucial part of wearing a hair system with long-lasting bonding is also the regular servicing and bonding which takes place in our special hair studio once every 3-6 weeks. Regular servicing is necessary due to the growth of one’s natural hair and the gradual detaching of the hair system.

The price for our all-inclusive service is 1,700 CZK. This includes a thorough cleansing of the hair system as well as of your hair and scalp, its regeneration, trimming your hair, attaching the new system, and styling the wig.

We recommend new customers interested in hair replacement systems with real hair and long-lasting bonding to choose one of three basic types(prices 16,900-18,900 CZK, 1-2 hair replacements/toupees needed per year with long-lasting bonding), which are then attached with either double-sided tape or a special liquid adhesive. In the case of long-lasting bonding, we recommend buying two hair replacement systems/toupees at once, so that one hair replacement is always clean, treated, and ready for regular bonding. We provide both a discount for buying two hair replacements/toupees at once and a discount for the regular servicing of the second system, which includes cleaning, treatments, and bonding, all of which takes place outside of our normal store hours. The price for the service is 1,400 CZK. Considerably cheaper (from 12,000 CZK) are hair replacements/toupees on an ultra-thin stocking, which are attached to the head solely with a liquid adhesive. This method is the most user-friendly and the least demanding in terms of upkeep. The system also stays attached the longest – up to 4-6 weeks. However, these hair replacements/toupees are the most delicate and their lifespan is anywhere from 1-3 months. Each year, 4-12 hair replacements/toupees are needed. Additionally, we offer our current customers the possibility of choosing a specific hair system according to their special requests. The base can be made from the previously mentioned ultra-thin stocking or a stocking made from silk or fine tulle or can even be made from other base materials. We can also make a new hair system completely from scratch according to the customer’s specifications. All of these hair systems can be taken on and off every day or be attached for a longer period of time with long-lasting bonding. The bonding, haircut, integration with existing hair, and hair styling are included in the purchase of each new hair system. Another possible option for hair replacements are men’s wigs. The most basic models, which nevertheless look perfect, start at 3,990 CZK; we also have models for 7,000 to 10,000 CZK with fine, hand-attached hair and a monofilament base that perfectly imitates the scalp and natural hair growth; finally, we offer fully handmade models for approx. 10-15,000 CZK.
